Join your Socialist Alliance trade union caucusOne of the big steps forward that Socialist Alliance took at its May national conference was the enthusiastic adoption of a vision and plan for rebuilding militant, democratic unions in Australia. (Click here for the full text of the resolution.) The membership of the Socialist Alliance includes a high proportion of union members and delegates, many of whom have a wealth of experience in fighting for workers’ and union rights. Trade union workshops at the conference decided to establish national caucuses and email groups for Socialist Alliance members in particular unions. If you are in one of these unions, we encourage you to join the relevant e-group so you can contribute to and draw on the experience and support of fellow unionists in the Alliance. To subscribe to any of the national union e-groups established so far (more will be set up over time), contact the following: CPSUClick here to email Andrew Hall at: andrew-hall@bigpond.com NTEUClick here to email Susan Price at: suzibaluzi@hotmail.com Teachers unionsClick here to email: Socialist Alliance caucuses and email groups have also been established for some state unions, including state public sector unions, the AMWU, and others.
