ACTU urged to call new national stoppage

Two petitions circulating among trade unionists call on the Executive of the ACTU to organise another national stoppage and protests around the enactment of the anti-workers "WorkChoices" legislation, expected in March 2006. They have the endorsement of Martin Kingham (Victorian Secretary CFMEU); Dave Oliver (Victorian secretary AMWU); Chris Cain (WA secretary MUA); Joan Doyle (Victorian secretary CEPU-P&T branch); John Morgan (General secretary Shearers & Rural Workers Union).
