Socialist Alliance says: 41 days until Howard goes!

Members of the Illawarra Socialist Alliance will be outside John Larter's campaign office tomorrow at 10.30am with this simple message: 41 days until Howard goes!

"On October 9, Australia will finally be rid of John Howard, and we will be counting down the days", said Chris Williams, Socialist Alliance candidate for Cunningham.

"Howard said today this election will be about trust. What a joke! Nobody trusts John Howard anymore. He lied to us about the children overboard, the SIEV-X tragedy, Iraq's so-called WMDs and much more. Time and time again he has proven his contempt for the truth, and for the Australian people, and he must go on October 9".

"The major parties rely on deceit and dishonesty to sell their anti-human policies. The Socialist Alliance doesn't need to lie because our policies will benefit working people in a real way. For example we advocate an increase in corporate taxation combined with a reduction in military spending to fund free healthcare

and education, and real job creation."
