The Socialist Alliance national executive is pleased to announce the affiliation last month of the socialist youth group Resistance. Resistance, an activist organisation of young people (up to the age of 26) and students, has branches in every state and territory. Many of its members have been involved in building SA since its beginnings.
Discussions are also underway with a couple of other organisations about affiliating to the Alliance – and we don’t want to stop there. Socialist Alliance is committed to constantly strengthening left unity in Australia, and there is still plenty of room for it to grow as a broad, multi-tendency organisation.
So, we encourage members and supporters to contact the national conveners with any suggestions of groups we are working with in the campaigns and movements who may be interested in formally affiliating to SA.
