POLICY WORKING GROUPS

The Socialist Alliance's campaign will take up the key issues in NSW politics, as well as continuing the movement building work for refugee rights, against war and corporate tyranny, and in defence of trade union rights that it has been involved in since it was launched in May last year.

To supplement to the Socialist Alliance's national platform and policy statements (go back to the front page), NSW members have convened a number of working groups to draft basic policy statements for the state election on:
• Environment
• Trade union and workers rights
• Refugees and racism
• Health care
• Education
• Youth issues
• Civil liberties
• Rural issues
• Women's rights
• Gay and lesbian rights
• Transport

As the policies are finalised, they will be uploaded onto this web site.

If you would like to join a working group, or assist in any way with policy development, please contact the State Campaign Committee at sydney@socialist-alliance.org

WE NEED YOU!

All Socialist Alliance branches in NSW meet at least monthly and members hold weekly campaigning stalls at suburban shopping centres, train stations and local community events. If you would like to come to a meeting or think you might be able to help out in some way, big or small, please get in touch with us.

We welcome as members or supporters anyone interested in socialist politics, in strengthening the people's movements against war, oppression and environmental destruction, and who wants to see a strong left alternative presented at the next state election.
