He has been involved in local campaigns for refugee rights, opposing the Maribyrnong Detention Centre, and building opposition to the war in Iraq. He was an office bearer and activist on the Nicholson St campus of Victoria University for 2 years.
Lincoln believes that a grass roots activist approach will be vital to a campaign that involves ordinary people in the issues affecting them. By fighting for a council that will put people before profits, he hopes to inspire other young people to become active.
